Overview

Katalin Sára-Popovics is a medical doctor with a background in anesthesiology and over 20 years of experience in human Phase IIb, III, and IV clinical research studies. Since 2025, she has been a PhD Student at the Department of Animal Biotechnology at the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences. Her professional background supports the human health and clinical aspects of the One Health research framework. Her current research focuses on the interaction between mycotoxins and antimicrobial resistance genes (ARGs) and their combined effects on the endometrial microbiome.

Selected Collaborations & Achievements:

She collaborates with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Semmelweis University and the University of Pécs on research investigating the significance of endocrine disruptors and environmental pollutants in gynecological diseases. She is also involved in an international collaboration with Prof. Anna Korzekwa at the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research, Polish Academy of Sciences (Biodiversity Protection Team).
