Overview

In the initial stages of her career, Dr. Zsuzsanna Judit Bódis has delved into the population biology of orchid species, a focus she later broadened to encompass various other species. Her commitment lies in research topics that are both conservation-oriented and practical, spanning areas such as floristic values, habitat mapping, landscape use history, and monitoring the effects of conservation interventions.Primarily identifying as a teacher, her research frequently aligns with the interests and inquiries of her students. This dynamic has led her to explore topics like medicinal plants and community gardens. Her research endeavors are consistently collaborative, placing a strong emphasis on the inclusion of undergraduate and postgraduate students in the team effort.

PlantPopNet - A Spatially Distributed Model System for Population Ecology

Starting with Plantago lanceolata as a model system, the project propose a co-ordinated effort to develop theory, supported by an awesome data set, on the abiotic and biotic drivers of population persistence and distribution.

Investigation to select optimal conservation management on Molinia meadows

The maintenance of Molinia meadows is important from a conservation point of view, but there is little economic interest. Biodiversity loss is a problem due to abandonment. In order to select the optimal and economically viable management type, three management types (mowing, mowing without hay removal, burning) are applied in 2 sample areas in Hungary.
