Overview

Dr. Péter Budai's research spans three key areas. Firstly, he investigates the impact of pesticide formulations on both target organisms and wild birds, examining embryotoxicity through avian teratology studies. These studies involve morphological evaluations during early and late embryogenesis, including oxidative stress parameter analysis. Secondly, Budai explores metal contamination in different geographical regions, utilizing biomonitoring and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) to assess metal pollution in organs, tissues, potential foods of wild birds, and environmental elements.

Lastly, addressing the need for alternatives to animal experiments in toxicology, Budai aims to develop a new evaluation system by combining results from various alternative eye irritation tests, considering the limitations of existing methods.
